A potato leaf variety with very early, bright yellow cherry tomatoes approx 1” diameter. Taste is somewhat reminiscent of a yellow pear tomato grown in the heat of the Midwest. Fragrant with a nice burst of subtle sweetness and thinner skin. Resists cracking at all costs, even with a thin skin! Let ripen to golden yellow for the richest taste. Very productive resisting light frosts. When the weather gets cool and rainy and the rest of your tomatoes have gone south, these plants will keep going. We have noticed that Galina Cherry Tomatoes have great shelf life -- we have had a bucket of them last for over a month! We just never got around to extracting the seed for selling, and they were left on the back deck for around 5 weeks in the a Wisconsin autumn. They weathered all conditions, and about 90% of them were as good as a just-picked tomato from the garden. Definitely a unique tomato! Potato leafed, indeterminate, about 60 days from transplanting.
