Artisan Blush Tiger Tomato Seeds -- Organically Grown, non-GMO, Heirloom, Made in Wisconsin - USA

$1.00

Artisan Blush Tiger (aka Blush Tiger, Artisan Blush, or Blush) Tomatoes came to the commercial market in 2013 via Fred Hempel of Artisan Seeds in California. The parents for the original cross, Maglia Rosa and Zucchero, were selected by Alex Hempel, Fred's (then) 8 year old son. After the hybrid was stabilized into an open-pollinated variety, Blush was released as a special offer to Tomatoville members in 2011 and Seeds of Change in 2013. The variety was "rebranded" in 2014 by A.W. Haley as Blush Tiger. It is frequently found in numerous greenhouses under the moniker of "Artisan Blush" or "Artisan Blush Tiger" because it is a member of the Artisan series of tomatoes.

Artisan Blush Tiger produces beautiful yellow with pink stripes and blush saladette-type fruits that are about 2 inches long by 1 inch wide. The blossom ends of the fruits come to a bit of a point. The skin is yellow and the flesh beneath bears the yellow and pink coloration. The flavor is sweet with complex afternotes. We love to eat them in salads or warm right from the patch out in the summer sun. Indeterminate, regular leaf structure with elegant look, plants with an abundant crop will catch the eye of your visitors or neighbors. About 75 days to maturity after transplanting.

We recommend growing Blush tomatoes in full sun. They do not require a pollinator in order to produce fruit. Planting and care instructions are included with each purchase.
