42 Days Tomato Seed -- Organically Grown, non-GMO, Heirloom, Made in Wisconsin - USA

$1.00

42 Days Tomato is a great variety for northern gardeners that have a short growing season, southern gardeners that want some Christmastime fruits, or those that want the first tomatoes in the neighborhood!

42 Days Tomato is named for its fast maturity and originated in Mexico, having been bred to have tolerance to hot desert and cool mountain conditions. These red cherry tomatoes are about 1-2 ounces in size and the shape is round to round with a slight blossom point. We have found that they don't get quite ready for us in 42 days, but it is not too many days more than that (our valley has cool nights, so that likely contributes to the delay). Plants are nice and compact and stay quite upright on their own, although you should still stake to prevent problems with wind later. Great choice for containers, raised beds, or just a regular garden setting. Few seeds per fruit, not prone to cracking, and flavor is nice and sweet. Great for salads and fresh eating! Regular leaf, determinate. About 42-50 days to maturity from transplanting. Solanum lycopersicum.

We recommend growing 42 Days tomatoes in full sun. They do not require a pollinator in order to produce fruit. Planting and care instructions are included with each purchase.
