Daucus carota. One of the darkest carrots available, Black Nebula has an intense dark purple color from the skin to the core. The roots are sweet with notes of wild berry and cherry. Use raw or cooked – both are equally good! A wonderful variety for juicing – and if you have kids, you can make it interesting by adding a drop of lemon juice to the dark purple juice: acid makes the juice turn bright pink! With this intense color, the roots remain purple after cooking and still have high levels of anthocyanins. Also high in Vitamin C. 80 days to maturity.
