This cosmos is a unique beauty. The apricot and lavendar shades are reminiscent of delicious peach and raspberry swirled sherbet- watercolored petals start out a soft apricot with a dusty lavender reverse and fade to a buttery yellow. Variations amongst the blooms include some flowers with a mauve ring at the throat. A bit of separation between the petals conjures a pinwheel with snipped dovetail edges. A must grow for event work.

How to Grow:
For best results, we recommend direct seeding once weather has warmed. Seed can also be started indoors in trays 4-6 weeks before last frost; transplant out after all danger of frost has passed.
Harvesting/Vase Life:
Individual blooms don’t last long in the vase, about 4-6 days, but each stem is loaded with multiple blossoms that open over a period of a week. Harvest when buds are cracking, but haven’t fully opened in order to prevent insects from pollinating, which will help stretch the vase life by a few extra days. Flower preservative is recommended.
Shipping:
All orders are shipped as First Class Parcels in a yellow bubble mailer. We use this method as it 1.) meets federal requirements for interstate plant material transport as seed licensing requirement in the USA, 2.) protects seeds from irradiation used on mail sorting machines to reduce germs like COVID-19, and 3.) protects the seeds from being crushed by mail machines and heavy packages in the sorting bin.

Delivered Monday evening - thank you I may have to plant next year as our growing season might not accommodate adequate time needed before a possible frost now - but looking forward to enjoying them when they do bloom.

OMG, I'm so excited to plant these seeds, cute packaging, the seller started my order right away as soon as I paid (on Christmas eve) and let me know that they would go out the Monday after rather than Saturday whoch was Christmas, I really appreciated the communication. I love cosmos! I ordered these Thursday 12/23/21, they arrived Monday 12/27/21 and were planted that night, and as of today 12/30/21 about half of the seeds are fully up with signs of buckling ground in the other pots. I am so thrilled! This was my first time ordering seeds on Etsy and I ordered from 7 different sellers. I bought from sellers that said they grow their own seed for sale. MertieMaes gets 5 stars from me because the other 6 companies haven't even shipped my orders that were bought on 12/23/21! The seeds came in a bubble wrapped envelope, each variety was in a tiny ziplock bag, and planting instructions were included, plus I got some free mystery variety patio tomato seed! Those will be planted soon. Assuming these are the correct color when they bloom, I think it is safe to say I will be back! Thank you!
