Pencil Pod Wax Bush Bean Seed, grown in Wisconsin, non-GMO, organic, sustainable

This heirloom wax bean variety dates back to 1900, when its introduction to the seed would brought forth a wax bean that was outstanding for its flavor and quality. The bright yellow pods are stringless and 5-7 inches long. The pods are great for freezing or canning, and maintain their color and flavor. Bush plants grow to about a foot and a half tall, but their heavy production puts them head and shoulders above recent hybrids. Regular picking will promote production until frost. Black seed. About 50-60 days to maturity.

We recommend growing Pencil Pod Wax Beans in full sun. They do not require a pollinator in order to produce fruit. Planting and care instructions are available upon request.
