Cranberry Bush Dry Bean Seed

$2.00

Cranberry beans arrived from England around 1825 and have firmly established themselves as the pinnacle of quality in a horticultural bean. This particular strain is a redder colored version with gold striping and should not be confused with the True Red Cranberry strain or the Vermont Cranberry strain (please see our other listings for those strains). Self-supporting, bush-type plants produce bountiful harvests of slender green beans that reach 7-9 inches long with a round cross section. Enjoy them shelled fresh, or allow them to come to full maturity for the hearty, robust flavor of a dry shelling bean.

Sorry, we cannot sell Phaseolus varieties to Washington state.

First time buyer, but not my last time. My order shipped the same day, and arrived quickly. Everything was as described, and there were more seeds than the listing said. The seeds look good. I missed somewhere that these are grown by the seller and the story behind their process. I am happy to support a small business that is owned by a non-Caucasian woman and the seed is all grown by her. I will update once they are planted to report on the germination rates.

Great seed, my beans germinated in 3 days, despite the weather not cooperating.

bought a 10 pack. only planted three and all sprouted in five days. thanks!

The seller processed my order extremely fast & I received my seeds within a week. I ordered 4 different types of seeds and each one looks of very good quality. It is too early for me to start my seeds for the next growing season; therefore, I don't know yet what the germination success rate is. Definitely looking forward to starting my seeds though!
